FiRe

Assalamualaikum,

I would like to share some ideas or situations associated with FIRE. I know that you must have already known about this, but..what the heck!

There is a Malay proverb associated with fire. Translated, it means “fire, when small is a good friend, but when it is big, it is a foe”. When the fire is “small”, it is not dangerous. For example, a small fire from our gas stove can help us cook our food. On the other hand, a big fire can be out of control. For instance, when a house catches fire, it will destroy our valuables even lives. That is why, it is a foe.

  

Fire can also be found on insects!  the fireflies produce light on the tip of their abdomens.

On the other hand, fire can also mean making someone lose his job. For example, if you do not work well in a company, the manager can fire you. When he does this, it means you are out of job.

Help yourself!

Not only can we fire people from their jobs, we can also fire a gun. But when we fire a gun, we are not asking the gun to stop working. Instead, the gun is working because a bullet is shot out of the gun when the gun is fired. You do not die if your manager fires you but when someone fires a gun at you, the chances are you will never live to tell people your experience.

Besides, things can catch fire too. It is nothing like catching a firefly with a net because you cannot catch a fire with a net. When your hair catches fire, it means your hair is burning.

Fire can be put out with water. So, we can say that water is the enemy of fire. When your hair is burning, the best thing to do is to throw yourself into a swimming pool, if you are near one, and the fire will be put out in no time.

Next, can fire be eaten? The answer is ‘yes’. There are people who are called fire-eaters.They do not really eat the fire because it is not possible. What they do is to put a lighted torch into their mouth and of course the fire will be put out immediately. This is because there is no oxygen inside the closed mouth and the fire dies.
